Cesc has the potential to be a pivotal member of Arsenal's midfield for years to come. He was arguably the find of last season, when injuries saw him promoted to the first team ahead of schedule, and he has taken on extra responsibility since Patrick Vieira's departure last summer.
The Spaniard has excellent vision, rarely wastes a pass and often dictates the pace and rhythm of Arsenal's forward play from his central position. It's easy to forget that Cesc is still just 18.
The teenager netted three times last season and became Arsenal's youngest league goalscorer when he struck against Blackburn on the night the Gunners broke Nottingham Forest's unbeaten record. Cesc, a regular for his country's Under-21 side, opened the current campaign with a goal in the Community Shield.
